Here is the story from the original source:
On Wednesday the 1st of October I received a call on my cell while in the car with my husband. It was a woman who identified herself as calling from the Obama Campaign. The phone # she called from was 903-798-6020 which lists as "Obama Volunteers of Texarkana" ( Texas ).She asked if I was an Obama supporter to which I replied:"No, I don't support him, your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the State Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time." I hung up.
Thursday, October 2, I answered the front door to find the Secret Service. (One male agent; one female agent) Immediately I thought of the call and was furious that apparently you are not allowed to call Obama a Socialist without the Secret Service coming to investigate. Instead, they asked me about the following comment, relayed by the Obama Volunteer of Texarkana who called me, unsolicited on my cell phone:"I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor."
My husband laughed and told them "No, she called him a socialist but she never said a word about him dying." I gave them my actual quote. The woman asked insolently "Oh? Well why would she make that up?" I replied that I supposed she wasn't happy about what I said about her candidate and the Agent said "That's right, you were rude!" The last time I checked being rude wasn't a crime in America .
Luckily the big file they had gathered on me didn't indicate mental instability or a past life of stalking/crime, however they did want to know how I felt about Obama. That was my limit. I told the Agent in no uncertain terms that my thoughts were not pertinent to their investigation, that this was America and the last time I checked I was allowed to think whatever I wanted without being questioned by the Secret Service. In fact, even if I had said what she claimed, that isn't a threat. I told them (again) and my husband verified that the statement reported by Obama's volunteer was a lie. I asked them if there was a tape of the call and they said no. I said, "So on the word of a ticked off Obama supporter you are on my porch with no other evidence and you want to question me about my THOUGHTS!?"
They informed me that there was no evidence she was an Obama supporter…someone calling from his campaign…are you kidding?
I was not allowed to know the name of my accuser at which point they informed me that it wasn't like I was in a court of law, YET, as if this was a good thing. I recognized this as a veiled threat. I told them I would happily go to court since I did nothing wrong and at least then my accuser would have to face me rather than sending the thought police to my house.
They then said they were trying to do me a favor, that they came to me first before "embarrassing you by going to all your neighbors and family", another threat? I told them to be my guest and talk to whomever they wanted but they weren't going to investigate my thoughts on my porch.
They also informed me that it would be easier if the next time a supporter calls me I just say "Yeah sure count me in, or just hang up" apparently so she won't get her undies in a bundle and give them more useless trips. Yeah right.
I said "Look, someone calls me unsolicited on my cell phone to ask me to support their candidate and I can't tell them why I don't?" I said I was sorry they made a wasted trip but if they had a problem with some made up lie they needed to go talk to her about it because it wasn't my fault they had to drive from Houston for nothing.
At one point I went inside and got a notepad to record their badge numbers and they refused to show me their badges. They had done the quick flip when they arrived. I asked for a card and the female Agent refused to give me one stating "You're not going to get a card." The male Agent gave me a card and told me I could contact Houston with any questions.
The fact that the volunteer lied, the fact that the Secret Service came to my house to question me about my thoughts and feelings and threaten to embarrass me to my neighbors and go to court if I didn't cooperate is not really the tragedy here. Because that girl on the phone doesn't have the pull to send the Secret Service to my home. Someone high in the ranks of a campaign working for a man who may be the next President of the United States of America felt comfortable bringing the force of the Federal Government to bear on a private citizen on nothing but the word of a partisan volunteer.
I want to file a counter complaint that false charges were made, that a false report was given to a peace officer. The Secret Service told me I cannot because they will protect the identity of the complainant. I also want the file they have on me destroyed and I want to know that my phone isn't tapped, et cetera. I am hearing a lot of "Out of my Jurisdiction".
Do I also hear jackboots?
Now, lets jump in the Wayback Machine and return to those glorious days of yesteryear, when Bill Clinton was running for President and people were suddenly finding themselves targets of the IRS. Does any of this sound familiar?
Please pass this information on to any in the military that have not registered to vote they can do mail in voting thru Oct 28
this is the new website
http://www.texasmilitaryvote.com//
Nearly 1,000,000 military and overseas absentee ballots were requested for the 2006 election, but only one-third of them were actually counted. That means that more than 660,000 interested military voters were ultimately not able to have their voices heard. This is unacceptable.
We must protect the rights of our soldiers—and their families—to vote and have that vote counted. Help a loved one or friend make sure they are registered, their ballot application is processed, and their vote is delivered and counted. Democrat, Republican, Independent…party affiliation or personal views are irrelevant. We ought to make certain they are able to vote.
This web site is a portal to great information that will make it easier for our men and women in uniform to do that which they have worked so hard to make so simple for the rest of us. They often put their lives on the line to guarantee the freedoms that make this country exceptional, and they deserve every opportunity to exercise the basic right to vote themselves. Let’s make certain they have exactly that.
God Bless our troops and the United States of America,

*BREAKING* Barry Soetoro’s Birth Certificate in Republican Hands [UPDATE]
August 10, 2008 · 119 Comments
Two sources, including Larry Johnson of No Quarter (who’s been in Hawaii on business), have independently told me that Republicans have in their possession Barack Obama’s Hawaiian Birth Certificate. The sources confirm that the theory first presented here — see Obama Hides Indonesian Identity, Fake Birth Certificate Explained — nearly 2 weeks ago, IS TRUE:
The name on the Birth Certificate is Barry Soetoro.
Did I also mention how small Hawaii is? Republican operatives, with help from their own island backers, have unearthed critical information on Obama and are just biding their time until after the convention to drop it on him. Such as?
Having a birth certificate that lists you as Barry Soetoro.
Thanks to Judah Benjamin for doing the ground-breaking research for this blog on Barack Obama’s Indonesian connection. His work was the foundation for the theory, and provided affirmation of Polarik’s original findings that the COLB was forged, followed by Techdude’s findings.
Never mind; Obama concealed it from us. He lied. He tried to wipe out his past, for fear that it would render him ineligible. He thought he was beyond being vetted, questioned, researched. He thought he was the Messiah.
Larry has more, and I have a feeling this passage alludes to the possibility that Obama used his Indonesian identity (perhaps a passport?) to travel to Pakistan:
I confirmed today that several teams/individuals visited Jakarta during the last six months to gather up critical documents regarding Barack. It is amazing what money can buy. The information includes details of how Barack made his way to Pakistan. Oh! Did I mention there have been similar efforts underway in Pakistan. There are several lessons and warnings in the John Edwards affair for Obama. First and foremost, you cannot hide your past.
No, you cannot hide from your past. Nor can you hide from citizen journalists.
UPDATE: 8/10/08 10:20 AM ET:
For those who have not followed this story, Soetoro is the name on Obama’s Birth Certificate (BC) because a new BC was issued when he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, his step-father. His original BC, which we assume was issued for Barack Hussein Obama at birth, would have been sealed at that time.
We assert that Barry Soetoro acquired Indonesian citizenship in approximately 1965-1966, and may still hold it. Barack Obama possibly changed his legal name back to Barack Hussein Obama as an older child, teenager, or adult, possibly never did — but even if he did, this procedure would not result in a change to the BC.
The Birth Certificate published by Obama on his campaign website (still there, by the way) and distributed to the media was forged because the real BC on file is in the name Soetoro, an identity he apparently wanted to hide from the American people.
I am getting reports from different sources that Obama traveled to Pakistan in ‘81 with an Indonesian passport.
These revelations raise several troubling issues for Obama’s electability and eligibility. Foremost, there is the concerted attempt to conceal his background and dual citizenship/identity from the electorate. Secondly, there is a potential Constitutional problem with a POTUS having held dual citizenship; Article II of the constitution requires the POTUS and Commander-in-Chief to have only ONE loyalty to country, and that must be to the US.
A school district near Austin, TX wants to name a new high school there Vandegrift High School after a fallen Marine who graduated in 1999. He was killed in Iraq serving his country, and the local school board voted to name the new high school after him. This is a great gesture of appreciation. But unfortunately some lunatic leftists are protesting this decision. Please read the background below and contact the Leander ISD to let them know you support their decision, despite what a vocal, anti-American minority has to say.Call the school district at 512-434-5000. Fax a letter to them at 512-434-5398. Email them at governance.team@leanderisd.org
The Leander ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously at their June 19,2008 meeting to name LISD High School #5 "Lt. Matthew Vandegrift High School.
Unfortunately, a vocal minority is pressing to change the name away fromVandergrift to something else.
Lt. Matthew Ryan Vandegrift (USMC) - a Leander High School honorsgraduate (Class of 1999) and athlete - was killed in Iraq in April 2008. 1st Lt.Vandegrift grew up in the Steiner Ranch community, and graduated from TexasA&M with honors and a degree in international business, before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in August 2005. He was killed four days short of his 28th birthday.
During the school naming process public comment was accepted and theVandergrift name was the top vote getter. Since the June 18th meetingmembers of the LISD Board of Trustees have been pelted with emails assailing their choice.
One such email reads in part, "Naming the school after someone who signed upto serve in an illegal war promotes the board's political pro-war message. If you are set on honoring a service person, honor a fallen fireman or policeman. For many of us who are, and have been from the beginning, against this war, this is not the message that we want to send to our kids. Both my sons will attend this school. Both of them will know that it was named after someone who willingly signed up to take part in an illegal war defending, mainly, business interests. While I feel terribly sorry for bothLt. Matthew Vandegrift and his family for their loss, I cannot agree with their actions".
Those of us who are veterans know that civilians set policy and our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines follow their orders and serve where they are told. To denigrate the memory of such honorable service and a life well led is shockingly sad. That is why I am calling on you to do threethings.
1. Email the LISD at the address below and thank them for naming thenewhigh School after Lieutenant Vandergrift.governance.team@leanderisd.org
2. Contact your friends and associates and ask them to do the same.
3. Attend, and encourage attendance at the next LISD Board meetingandgive public comment in favor of the Vandergrift honor. The meeting willstart at 6:15 on Thursday July 17 at the Cedar Park High School Auditorium.
Citizen's comments are normally around 7PM. I am sure that those opposed to supporting our soldiers will be there en masse. There is a strong chance that the naming of the school will come up for reconsideration by the board. It is up to Americans like you to stand up and recognize the honor, courage and sacrifice of service members like Lieutenant Vandergrift. Lieutenant Vandergrift stood up for you.will you stand up for him?
To the members of the LISD Board:
While sewing up a cut on the hand of a 75 year old west Texas rancher, the doctor struck up a conversation. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be the next President.
The old rancher said, 'Well ya know somethin' son, Obama is what we used to call... a 'post turtle'.' Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was. The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's called a 'post turtle'.'
The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass put him up there in the first place !!''

text of Rep Ted Poe's statement on the floor of the House on 20 September 2007
HON. TED POE OF TEXAS
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Thursday, September 20, 2007
Madam Speaker, "I do not believe that the men who served in uniform in Vietnam have been given the credit they deserve. It was a difficult war against an unorthodox enemy.''
These are the words of General Westmoreland in the war where "all gave some and some gave all.'' But the disrespect continues. Now, despicable vandals have desecrated the sacred black granite Vietnam Wall. An oily, slimy, greasy substance was smeared over the Wall and the walkway. The Park Service is attempting to remove the damage, but the monument desecraters run free.
This monument bears the name of 56,000 warriors. They answered the call for America and they died in their youth. I grew up with friends whose names are on that wall.
The unpatriotic, cowardly, abusing criminals should be tracked down, prosecuted, and put in jail somewhere off the shores of America, maybe Guantanamo Bay.
It has been said that "Vietnam was a war that asked everything of a few and nothing of most in America.'' Now America must be resolved to capture these outlaws and restore dignity to those who died for the rest of us.
And that's just the way it is.
TX Rep John Carter (R-Tx):
Resolution Draft:
110TH CONGRESS
1ST SESSION H. RES.
Condemning the actions of September 7, 2007, resulting in damage to the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Mr. CARTER submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the
Committee on ......
RESOLUTION
Condemning the actions of 7 September 2007, resulting in damage to the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial.
Whereas the Vietnam Veterans Memorial serves as a memorial to the 2,700,000 men and women in the United
States Armed Forces who served in the designated war zone during the Vietnam Era;
Whereas 58,256 men and women died while serving in South East Asia or as a result of their wounds or a service-connected disability;
Whereas on Friday evening, September 7, 2007, the United States Park Police reported being notified of a light, oily,
and unidentified substance that was spilled over portions of some of the names, panels, and paving stones of the
Vietnam Veterans Memorial;
Whereas at least 14 of the 140 inscribed panels of the Memorial Wall were damaged; and
Whereas the National Park Service has determined that the damage was the result of an act of vandalism:
Now, therefore, be it Resolved,
That the House of Representatives condemns all attacks upon the memory of veterans and their service to the United States, as exemplified by the incident of vandalism of 7 September 2007.
