The Democrats recently announced the theme for the day that Sen. Barack Obama's running mate will speak at the Democratic National Convention in Denver -- "national security and honoring veterans." This may well provide a hint about who the vice-presidential selection will be, as it seems unlikely that such a theme would be used to frame a nominee who, like Sen. Obama, has no military experience.
Before speculating about the most likely candidate, let's take a few moments to review ways in which the Democratic Party has gone about "honoring" the US military in the past.

In November of 2000, during the statewide vote recount in Florida, Al Gore and the Democrats sent lawyers to every voting district in the state, armed with detailed instructions on how to disqualify military absentee ballots. Peggy Noonan reported that "...Democrats on the ground, and their operators from the Democratic National Committee and the state organization and the Gore campaign, deliberately and systematically scrutinized for challenge every military absentee ballot, and knocked out as many as they could on whatever technicality they could find or even invent."

Early in 2004, evidence emerged that a small group of Army prison guards had humiliated and abused captive insurgents at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. The abuses were discovered by the Army itself, and those responsible were duly tried, convicted and sentenced. Nevertheless, leftists eager to discredit the US military seized upon these trivial events as though they constituted the most important story of the war. Sen. Edward Kennedy rose in the Senate to charge that "Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management -- US management." By June, the New York Times had featured Abu Ghraib stories on its front page more than 50 times, including a string of 28 days in a row. The purpose was evident -- to undermine support for the military and its mission by persuading the public that American troops were brutal abusers.

Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore was a welcome guest at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, where he sat in former President Jimmy Carter's box seat. Yet Moore had openly embraced those who ambushed and killed US troops, saying that "the Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'the enemy.' They are the revolution, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win." Ohio Democratic Representative Marcy Kaptur echoed this view, suggesting that "...Osama bin Laden and these non-nation-state fighters with religious purpose are very similar to those kinds of atypical revolutionaries that helped to cast off the British crown." This is a particularly novel way to support our troops -- by comparing their enemies to the patriots who fought for American independence.

In 2005, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin compared the treatment of terrorist suspects held at Guantanamo, Cuba to the crimes committed "by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others -- that had no concern for human beings." In fact, no prisoners had died at Guantanamo, whereas some fifteen to thirty million Soviets expired in the gulags, six million Jews were killed in Nazi concentration camps, and two million Cambodians were murdered by Pol Pot's communist Khmer Rouge. A Pentagon spokesman noted that all members of Congress were welcome to inspect the Guantanamo facilities -- something Sen. Durbin had never done. Public outrage eventually prompted Durbin to offer a qualified apology "...if anything I said cast a negative light on our fine men and women in the military."

In 2006, Democratic Congressman John Murtha falsely claimed that US Marines who had battled in Haditha, Iraq had "killed innocent civilians in cold blood." Marine Corps officials pointed out that Murtha had not yet been briefed on the event at the time he made his atrocity allegations. Charges against nearly all participants in the Haditha engagement have since been dismissed. The Marine staff sergeant who led the squad recently filed a federal defamation lawsuit against Murtha that has yet to come to trial.

Later the same year, New York Democrat Charles Rangel explained why young Americans join the military -- they aren't capable of doing anything else. Congressman Rangel said, incorrectly, that most members of the military "come from very, very high areas of unemployment" and denied that they "want to fight." Rangel further displayed his deep respect for US troops by adding that if a young man "...has an option of having a decent career or joining the army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq."

Sen. Tom Harkin recently suggested that Sen. John McCain's military background is a liability rather than an asset. "Everything is looked at from his life experiences, from always having been in the military," said Harkin, "and I think that can be pretty dangerous."

Presidential nominee Obama also took a few moments last year to honor the US military for its ongoing campaign in Afghanistan, by suggesting that it consisted primarily of "air-raiding villages and killing civilians...."

Who then is the Democrat best qualified to continue this tradition as Barack Obama's running mate? The choice is obvious: former nominee John Kerry. Kerry started his political career in 1971 by falsely accusing American troops of committing genocide in Vietnam. He accused his own Navy comrades of war crimes.

His Vietnam Veterans Against the War created the dysfunctional caricature of Vietnam veterans that Hollywood and the media embraced for three decades.
Perhaps more than anyone else, John Kerry is responsible for the way our Vietnam veterans were treated -- with contempt and pity, rather than respect.

After his unsuccessful attempt to market himself as a war hero in 2004, Kerry soon reverted to form, claiming that US troops were "going into homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children..." Kerry's own effort to compete in the 2008 cycle was derailed by his revealing suggestion to a college audience that "if you study hard and you do your homework... you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
So fire up the sound system. Launch the balloons. And let the honoring of America's veterans begin.

Did I also mention how small Hawaii is? Republican operatives, with help from their own island backers, have unearthed critical information on Obama and are just biding their time until after the convention to drop it on him. Such as?

The Candidate of Deception

American citizens have 90 days to connect the Jihad Candidate’s dots, or our beloved country will “change” for the Ayatollahs of Islam. According to this Kenyan citizen, white Americans are Bible thumpin’, shotgun pumpin’, outhouse dumpin’ buffoons he can easily manipulate while his staff of Muslim terrorists continues with their plans of “change”.

Do you think it’s time you woke up from the American Idol show and started telling your friends to look behind the smile? You are the company you keep. Obama’s close Senatorial friend Keith Ellison (D-MN) is Muslim with strong ties to terrorist organizations and is establishing a de facto Islamic mini-state . Do you want this in the White House?

The Socialists Party candidate was just found to have a member of the FBI’s number one terrorist group, The Muslim Brotherhood, among his staff. This global terrorist organization provides the funding for death to Jews and infidels, and insures that Hamas and Al Qaeda have all the money required to kill non-Muslims. The Muslim Brotherhood provides money to buy weapons for use around the globe, including improvised explosive devices to kill American soldiers. Mazen Asbahi, who was appointed national coordinator for Muslim American affairs by the Obama campaign on July 26th, has had an eight year connection with the Muslim Brotherhood. The U.S. Department of Justice has linked Asbahi to be involved with racketeering and fundraising for the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas. Please be advised that Asbahi resigned; he was not fired.

After Barack Hussein Obama's recent worldwind media tour, I was motivated to write my 1st blog in a long time. For months I have been working to enlighten people, especially other black Americans, about Obama's past, his policies, and provide them with as many facts as possible about what an empty and dangerous suit he is. I don't go off of hearsay or media spin, I let them listen to Obama in his own words, read his own speeches, view his lackluster and scant voting record,etc so that they can see with their own eyes who this arrogant jerk is. I am proud to say that through those efforts, I have helped many people make a more "informed" and "unemotional" decision...no matter what that decision is. After seeing his behavior overseas, I am even more disgusted and I am NOT the only one. I have been reading liberal blogs, tracking the polls (where he is losing ground across the country), and listening to the average everyday person. What I have been seeing more and more is an awakening, not only to the irresponsible media bias towards Obama but also to the type of politician he really is. There is beginning to be a negative backlash towards Obama and a sense of Obama fatigue.

First of all, what country does Obama think he is running for president in? Why didn't the media share the fact that immediately prior to the Obama arrival, they put on several free music concerts in order to get people to show up? Why go overseas and bash this country, apologize for this country? Why go work out at the Ritz instead of see wounded soldiers in a military hospital in Germany? Why cancel your visit and then blame it on the Pentagon when the fact of the matter is that the State Dept told Obama that he could visit but could not take cameras and the media for photo ops? Why go to Iraq and see that we are winning and the surge is working yet refuse to admit it to Catie Couric and say that even though we have succeeded, saving millions of lives both American, Allied, and Iraqi, that you would and do not support the surge? Why go on a fact finding trip and then after it all say that it didn't change ANY of your views? Why, Obama, would you try to claim credit for Bush's strategy in Afghanistan and Iraq? And why in the hell Obama would you be trapsing around the world pretending to be the president and insulting our military, giving the enemy credit for the success saying they "stood down", and pandering to every group you see, when we, Americans, are suffering paying $4.00 + a gallon for gas?

For those of you who know me, I am intellectually honest and candid. I have not been a big fan of McCain and he was not my 1st choice but I'll take an older, less charismatic, military veteran over an inexperienced 143-day narcissistic racist Chicago, supporter of live abortion, senator with a bitter, ungrateful wife. I love how the Obamas say that we are "guided by fear," when we actually should fear terrorism yet they don't believe they are "fear mongering" when they talk about how horrible life is here in America and how we are ALL going to die from global warming if we don't change our lightbulbs. I don't want a president who bootlegs the speeches of Bono, Kilpactrik, Cuomo, and the movie Malcolm X yet can't speak without a teleprompter...uuuhhh uhh uuhhh uhhh uhhh...

I don't want a socialist like Obama to be my president. I don't want, as a hardworking middle class American, much higher taxes and a 32% capital gains hike (up from 15% due to the Bush tax cuts) leading to a worsened economy. I don't want a president who applauds an out of control supreme court for giving terrorist constitutional rights at taxpayer expense, applauds the California court's decision to make gay marriage legal when the people of California, both democrat and republican, overwhelmingly voted against it by defining it as "between a man and a woman." I cannot vote for the only senator in congress who voted against protecting the babies who survive an attempted partial birth abortion (and found nothing wrong with those babies being left to die exposed on a table or in a dirty hospital broom closet). I cannot vote for a hypocrite who lectures Americans and says he is embarressed about us not speaking foreign language but won't demand that illegals coming into this country learn english, our language. Not to mention the fact that, unlike me (who speaks more than one language) doesn't speak any other foreign language at all. I cannot vote for someone who believes that there is NO TERRORISM and that we need to pay a global poverty tax. I cannot vote for someone who wants to socialize healthcare but has no plan on how to pay for it let alone pay for millions of illegal aliens who will continue to flood our country because he will give them amnesty and not seal the boarders. I cannot support a candidate who wants to tell me in one breath that he cares for the middle class and the poor but refuses to drill here and drill now to solve our energy crisis nor give a tax holiday that would save the average person 18 cents a gallon. (I guess for Obama it would only save him "$30.00 a year lol (what kinda math is that anyway)" but for my family it would save us $150-$200 per month). I cannot vote for a person who refuses to vote for legislation that would make gang murderers eligible for the death penalty in Illinois because Obama says "that law unfairly targets black men." I cannot vote for a man who has consistently voted against any kind of national security legislation, voted to cut off funding for our troops while in war, lied about our troops, and doesn't even call together committies that he is a part of dealing with the VA and Afghanistan, not one time. I cannot vote for a man who has a bitter, angry, ungrateful wife who believes it is the "bitter middle-America voter who cling to their guns and religion" (it seems that many of the Obama supporters are actually the bitter ones in this country-his wife, William Ayers, his church, people who feel entitled, etc) and who constantly shoots off her disrespectful mouth. (I also dont want to have to see her face and here his longwinded speeches that say nothing for the next 4 yrs). And lastly I cannot vote for a man who lies about being raised by a single mother (when she was married twice and not single very long), lies and says his dad was a poor goat herder (when he was an affluent Kenyan who attended Ivy league schools), lies about being raised as a muslim (when his own autobiography & documentation states otherwise - Obama's Background ), lies and claims he grew up poor (yet attended the most expensive school in Hawaii), lies and says Iran and Syria are tiny and not a threat to the US, and sits in a racist, anti-American church for 20 yrs with his "spriritual mentor" Rev. Wrong.

According to some pubished accounts, (and Democrats), not a damn thing except take the credit and try to take more of our money and give it the UN. (Sound familiar?)

A close look at Barack Obama's career reveals it has been even more mediocre than generally recognized.

Before being elected to the Illinois state Senate, Obama worked as a community organizer and a lawyer in Chicago.

In his memoir, Obama says being a community organizer taught him how to motivate the powerless and work the government to help them. His chief example is an effort to remove asbestos from Altgeld Gardens, an all-black public housing project on Chicago’s South Side.

But those who were involved in the effort say Obama played a minor role in working the problem and never accomplished his goal. A pre-existing group at Altgeld Gardens and a local newspaper, the Chicago Reporter, were working on the problem before Obama came on the scene, yet Obama does not mention them in his book, “Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.”

“Just because someone writes it, doesn't make it true,” says Altgeld resident Hazel Johnson, who had been pushing for a cleanup of the cancer-producing substance years before Obama showed up.

Rep. Bobby L. Rush, D-Ill., says it was Johnson's work, along with asbestos testing by the Chicago Reporter, that got Chicago officials interested in the issue. Rush, who launched an inquiry into the situation when he was a member of the Chicago City Council, says he is “offended” that Obama did not mention Johnson in his account.

After three years working as an organizer, Obama could say he helped obtain grants for a jobs program and got asbestos removed from some pipes in the project. But as the Los Angeles Times has noted, the “large-scale change that was needed at the 1,998-unit project was beyond his reach.” To this day, most of the asbestos remains in the apartments.

Fruitless though his efforts were, Obama devoted more than 100 pages to his experiences at Altgeld Gardens and surrounding areas. Michelle Obama has said his work as a community organizer helped him decide “how he would impact the world,” assisting people to improve their lives. Yet, in a revealing passage in his book, Obama wrote, “When classmates in college asked me just what it was that a community organizer did, I couldn’t answer them directly.”

Instead, he said, “I’d pronounce on the need for change. Change in the White House, where Reagan and his minions were carrying on their dirty deeds. Change in the congress, compliant and corrupt. Change in the mood of the country, manic and self-absorbed. Change won’t come from the top, I would say. Change will come from a mobilized grass roots.”

After going to Harvard Law School, Obama returned to Chicago, where he briefly headed a voter registration drive and then became a lawyer. While Obama’s campaign has touted him as a civil rights lawyer, “Over the nine years that Obama’s law license was active in Illinois, he never handled a trial and mostly worked in teams of lawyers who drew up briefs and contracts in a variety of cases,” according to David Mendell’s “Obama: From Promise To Power.”

If Obama had virtually no impact as either a community organizer or as a lawyer, he was even more invisible in the state Senate and later in the U.S. Senate.

In both bodies, Obama had a reputation for voting “present,” thus avoiding controversial decisions that could be used against him later. In the U.S. Senate, he has missed more than one in five votes.

Only one of the measures Obama has sponsored as a U.S. senator was enacted: a bill to “promote relief, security, and democracy in the Democratic Republic of Congo.”

There is one other bill the messiah has pushed that is coming up for vote this week in the Senate. It would give the Untied Nations more of our tax money. (thats NOT a typo)

Obama is the sponsor of a massive foreign aid spending bill that attempts to siphon off hundreds of billions of dollars from the U.S. Treasury to the rest of the world, in order to meet U.N. demands.

If the public grasped the nature of the bill and the fact that Obama was the sponsor in the Senate, they might come to some understanding of the nature of Obama's political ideology and why Frank Marshall Davis mattered so much to him.

Remember friends, if you vote 3rd party you will hand control of this country over to people who don't give a fuzzy rats behind about nothing but their own sick twisted view of how things should be.
