Nine US Troops Killed in Afghanistan

Comments

I'm trying very hard to be thankful that "our guys" lived. But, grief and shock is too new. We let our guard down, on the home front, and took their coming home for granted.
[this is good]
I really had no words this morning when I read the news report. I've been holding my breath until I knew they were all redeployed. I'm very disheartened today. I'm praying for the families of the fallen and for the wounded. Sad, just sad feelings. I can't even comment on the executions. The Taliban are evil and need to be stopped.
horrible horrible news. I agree with LongislandGirl.."The Taliban are evil and need to be stopped."

Tankerbabe was not happy when she called me yesterday from the airport. She took this hard.

We need more troops in the Stan, NOW. Period. End of discussion.

Yeah, keep Tankerbabe in your prayers and stay in touch. We are blessed to have her and her caring heart.

We were dealing with the families of some of our "new guys", who are too new to realize these 9 and 15 weren't their guys. We can't get them in and out fast enough. I'm a big one to remind the total casualties numbers. But you know, they're all names to us.

Take the time to remember, SGT Bull of the 3-1 STB. His memorial service is starting right now at Ft Hood. Some of our new guys are attached to the 3-1 STB. Our guys met the casualties from their new unit, as they were in processing. It's gonna another be hard deployment.

The 6-4 CAV troops are in the fight, now. So everyone add them to your cheer prayer list, along with the rest of the 3-1. The enemy keeps up with rotation schedules, too.

Please keep me updated on the 6-4 Cav troops. Godspeed Sgt. Bull. Thanks, Joanne

You all are the best friends a woman could have. Thank you for your kind remarks but please don't worry about me. I'm OK. We have to stay focused on saying our prayers and sending our love and support to the Sky Soldiers and their families. The hours are dragging by for them - waiting, hoping, wondering if it was their beloved men who gave their all yesterday at the hands of cowards. Low life, air sucking terrorists who hid behind a mosque and family homes because they knew our brave and honorable men wouldn't break the "rules orf engagement" and attack a place that is supposed to be reserved for religious purposes and home with "innocent" women and children.

My heart is breaking. Truly breaking right now. Not only for the families of those who perished yesterday but also for SGT Bull's family. My thoughts, prayers, love and gratefulness are with them always.

And we wait.....
